ABOUT · CHRISTINA G. WHITNEY, LMFT, MBA
The private intensives work because of who is holding the room: a clinician trained in EMDR and brainspotting, with over 15 years of face-to-face clinical work and a Master's in Psychology and an MBA behind it — who has also owned businesses, invested in real estate, built a career around relationship dynamics, and parented through a high-stakes family reality.

THE PRACTICE
Christina G. Whitney is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Psychology and an MBA, and over 15 years of face-to-face clinical experience — working privately with executives, founders, physicians, first responders and couples who need more than a weekly appointment can hold.
Her clinical work is trauma-informed: EMDR for structured trauma resolution, brainspotting — Phase 1, Phase 2 and intensive-trained — for deeper, body-led processing, and Imago-informed couples work that gets beneath the argument to the pattern underneath. She hears what a couple is not saying because years of her career have centered on relationship dynamics.
As a certified sex-informed therapist — on the path to becoming a certified sex therapist — she brings the same discretion to the conversations about intimacy and desire that most people have nowhere else to have.
The person behind the private intensives.
WHERE THE WORK HAPPENS
Redding, California, your calendar, or a room arranged for you.
ntensives are held by telehealth across California, Arizona, Hawaii, and Nevada, in person in Redding — where Christina resides — or in any of those states with additional travel costs. Concierge sessions are held by telehealth, or in person at additional cost, and move with your schedule — early mornings, evenings, weekends, and time zones.
In the states where Christina is licensed — California, Arizona, Hawaii, and Nevada — this work is therapy, in person or by telehealth. Outside those states, the same trauma-informed approach is offered as consulting, and clients frequently travel to California for an in-person intensive.
BEYOND THE THERAPY ROOM
Experience that changes how the work is done.
Business ownership
Having owned and run businesses, Christina understands risk, payroll, decisions that cannot wait, and the weight of being the one everyone looks to when something breaks.
Parenting under pressure
As a parent of a child with type 1 diabetes, she knows vigilance, endurance and holding a high-stakes reality every day — the same steadiness she helps clients build for their own families.
Real estate investing
Years of real estate investment mean she speaks the language of leverage, exposure and upside — and knows what it costs to carry assets and obligations that do not pause for personal difficulty.
Endurance, lived personally
A marathon finisher and a mother of six, Christina knows what sustained commitment looks like — through training seasons, family life, and the long middle miles where most people stop.
