My Commitment to Accessibility

I believe everyone deserves access to information, support, and quality mental health care. I am committed to making my professional website accessible and usable for all visitors, including individuals with disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility, and my goal is to create an inclusive online experience that allows individuals of different abilities to learn about my professional background, therapeutic approach, and clinical services.

My accessibility efforts are informed by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), applicable California accessibility requirements, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Accessibility Standards

I aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

These guidelines provide recommendations for making digital content more accessible to individuals with visual, auditory, physical, cognitive, neurological, and other disabilities.

My accessibility goals include:

  • Providing readable text and sufficient color contrast.

  • Supporting keyboard navigation wherever reasonably possible.

  • Using descriptive headings and clear page organization.

  • Providing alternative text for meaningful images.

  • Making links and navigation elements understandable.

  • Supporting compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies.

  • Providing accessible content across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

  • Avoiding unnecessary barriers to accessing important information.

Although I work toward these standards, I do not represent that every page or feature currently satisfies all WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria.

Ongoing Accessibility Improvements

My website is built using Squarespace, a third-party website platform that provides tools and features intended to support accessible website development.

I recognize that accessibility depends not only on the website platform but also on content, design decisions, third-party integrations, and ongoing maintenance.

As my website is maintained and updated, I seek to identify and address accessibility barriers.

These efforts may include reviewing text readability, navigation, image descriptions, heading structures, links, interactive elements, and mobile usability.

Accessibility is an ongoing process, and I welcome feedback that helps improve the experience for all visitors.

Assistive Technologies and Browser Compatibility

I aim to make this website usable with commonly available browsers, devices, and assistive technologies, including screen readers, keyboard navigation, and browser accessibility features.

Individual experiences may vary depending on the device, browser, assistive technology, and settings being used.

Visitors may also use browser-based accessibility features such as text enlargement, zoom, and other display preferences.

Third-Party Content and Services

My website may include links to external websites or content provided by third parties, including Northern California Family Counseling & Wellness Center.

While I strive to provide accessible resources and services, I do not control the accessibility of independently operated third-party websites.

I encourage visitors to contact me if an external resource linked from my website presents a barrier to obtaining important information about my professional services.

Alternative Ways to Access Information

If you experience difficulty accessing information on my website, I encourage you to contact my practice directly.

I will make reasonable efforts to provide the information you need through an alternative accessible format or communication method.

I welcome requests for reasonable accommodations related to accessing information about my professional services.

Clinical services are provided through Northern California Family Counseling & Wellness Center, which can also assist with accessibility questions and reasonable accommodation requests related to treatment.

Report an Accessibility Concern

I value feedback and appreciate being informed of any accessibility barriers.

If you experience difficulty using my website, encounter content that is inaccessible, or have suggestions for improvement, please contact:

I appreciate your feedback and participation in helping create a more accessible online experience.

My goal is to make it easier for every individual and family to explore the resources and services available through my professional website and Northern California Family Counseling & Wellness Center.
